Getting Started

Activating your license

Your license key looks like SP-AGENT-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX and lives on your Account page, with a Copy button next to it. The setup wizard asks for it once, right after your backend is running.

"Invalid key" on paste

This is almost always a copy-paste artifact — a trailing space or line break that snuck in — not an actually-wrong key. Go back to your Account page and use the Copy button rather than selecting the text by hand and retyping it.

What activation unlocks

Your key determines your tier (Starter / Pro / Studio) and which add-ons are enabled. The agent checks this live against our license server, so upgrading or adding an add-on takes effect without reinstalling anything.

Machine seats (3 computers by default)

Each license can be active on a limited number of machines — 3 by default. The first time the agent validates your key on a computer, that machine uses one seat. Opening the agent again on the same computer does not use another seat.

  • Your Account page shows how many seats are in use.
  • If you hit the limit when installing on a new computer, you'll see a clear "seat limit" message in the agent's Settings → License panel.
  • To free a seat (old laptop, wiped PC, etc.), contact us and we'll release it — usually the same day.

Need more than three machines? Reach out — we can raise the seat limit on your license without issuing a new key.

Works offline

Once validated, your license status is cached locally for a week. If your internet drops or the license server is briefly unreachable, the agent keeps working off that cache rather than locking you out — you don't need to be online every time you use it.

Moving to a new computer

Install the agent on the new machine and paste the same key. If you still have a free seat, it activates immediately. If you're at the limit, free an old seat first (contact us, or uninstall and ask us to clear that machine). Replacing a machine permanently doesn't require deactivating anything yourself — we just need to know which seat to release.

Modifying the agent

The agent ships as readable source so you can customize prompts, tools, and workflow for your business. Your license still applies to paid add-ons — editing the code for your own use is fine; redistributing a cracked or seat-bypassed copy is not.
