Connecting Your Tools

Connecting Seedling CRM

This is the step that turns the agent from a smart chat window into something that can actually see and act on your real business data — customers, invoices, projects, calendar. It's optional, but it's the single biggest jump in usefulness.

How it works

Unlike Google's tools, connecting Seedling doesn't involve any OAuth consent screen. You generate an API token from inside Seedling and paste it into the agent's connection field once.

  1. In Seedling, go to Settings → Advanced → API Keys and generate a new token.
  2. Copy it, and paste it into the agent's dashboard under its Seedling connection field.
  3. Ask the agent something that needs real data — e.g. "what invoices are overdue?" — to confirm it's live.

Treat this token like a password. Only paste it into the agent's own connection field — never into a chat message, an email, or a shared document. If you think it leaked, regenerate it from Seedling immediately.

What it unlocks

Once connected, the agent can read your tasks, projects, customers, invoices, expenses, calendar, and more — and, depending on your permissions in Seedling, create and update records too. It inherits your own user permissions exactly, so it can never do more than you're allowed to do yourself.

Don't use Seedling?

The agent still works without a connection — you just lose the ability to ask it about real business data. It's a genuinely useful assistant either way, this just makes it dramatically more so.

Still stuck? I read every message myself.
