Installing the agent
The agent is a single download that runs on your own machine — nothing is hosted or streamed. Grab it from your Account page, then unzip it anywhere.
Run the installer
- Windows: double-click
install.bat. - macOS: double-click
install.command.
That's the entire instruction manual. It checks for Python (installing it for you automatically if it's missing — most people don't have it and don't need to know what it is), then walks you through the setup wizard and starts the dashboard when it's done.
Windows / macOS security prompt
The first time you run it, your OS will likely warn you it's from an "unidentified developer" or unrecognized publisher. That's expected for any small, independently-published software — it isn't a sign anything is wrong.
- Windows: click "More info," then "Run anyway."
- macOS: right-click
install.command, choose "Open," then confirm in the dialog that appears.
If your antivirus quarantines or blocks the file outright rather than just warning you, see Antivirus blocked the installer.
Admin rights required. If you're on a locked-down work laptop, installing Python (if it isn't already there) may not be able to complete. Install on a personal machine, or ask your IT admin to run it for you.
What gets installed
Alongside the agent itself, the setup wizard offers to install Ollama for running an AI model locally. If you already have Ollama installed, the agent detects and reuses it rather than installing a second copy.
Next step
The installer hands off to the setup wizard automatically — see The setup wizard.
